There are a lot of properties for sale in south Costa Blanca and therefore many beautiful places where you could buy your next home. Today I'd like to make a special mention to a town in Orihuela Costa; La Zenia.

La Zenia is a town if one could call it that way in south Alicante. If you drive 10 minutes south from Torrevieja then you'll find it. But most probably if you are familiar with Costa Blanca you have already heard or been in La Zenia. And we know why: because of La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre.

Before La Zenia Boulevard was built, when you wanted to make your clothing and grocery shopping most people went to Torrevieja town or to Habaneras shopping centre. But things changed five years ago when this shopping centre opened its doors. It is big, open air, very nice architecturally speaking because was built like a mini city. This shopping centre has everything you could need: you can buy clothes, shoes, food, technology, tools, sports equipment, home decor… Also there are restaurants and leisure for you to enjoy. The one thing this shopping centre does not offer is cinema and thanks to this people still go to Habaneras shopping complex.

Since then, La Zenia started to expand, populating an area that before was mainly lived by locals Spaniards and summer vacationers. Before if you spoke of La Zenia, it was the coast area between Punta Prima and Cabo Roig, not much was of La Zenia was on the west side to the national road. But things have changed quickly: more job opportunities means more permanent people therefore more houses to buy or rent. And because the La Zenia coastline is mainly full of villas and bungalows the town started to expand around the shopping centre.

Today if you take a drive around the area, you will see cranes working day by day, adverts of new promotions been built and signs of open houses for you to walk in. Different construction companies all following the mainstream: modern squared architecture style.
