From the 15 until 25 of July, Guardamar celebrates Moors and Christians.

If you like culture, traditions and history, Naranja Spain invites you to come and enjoy with us the acts, parades and night parties in the barraks of Guardamar.

Moors and Christians is the most known local festivity in the area, honoring Saint James; patron of Spain. It commemorates the Christian reconquest historical passage.

The festifity starts with the representation of L'Encanta (The Enchanted) by the Segura river where a theatrical act plays a legend: a young woman has been enchanted and only a brave warrarior can save her by fighting on a battle against the evil forces.

After this opening we'll have days full of parades, comparsas, moors and christians, troops storming the castle filling Guardamar with gunpowder, music and fireworks.
